Atlas becomes 100% employee owned, FuturePlus named in Elite Business Top 100 and Our IMPACT CERTIFIED Hotels Guide
Atlas FM becomes 100% employee owned
A huge congratulations to FuturePlus member Atlas Facilities Management on becoming 100% employee-owned, becoming the first company in the FM industry to transition to full employee ownership.
“Transitioning to 100% employee ownership is a proud and defining moment for Atlas. This move reflects our purpose of creating happiness for ourselves and others by giving every employee a real stake in our success. It strengthens our culture, drives innovation, and deepens our commitment to delivering exceptional service for our clients. We’re thrilled to lead the way in our industry.” - Chris Wisely, CEO, Atlas Facilities Management.
Employee ownership isn’t a new idea, but according to Harvard Business Review, it’s widely overlooked. The model has been shown to benefit not just workers but also owners. Research demonstrates that companies with broad-based employee ownership (at least 30% of shares held by a wide group of employees) outperform comparable companies, exhibiting higher productivity, faster growth, and greater longevity.

Football Foundation-backed Club committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all
FuturePlus member, The Football Foundation, this week re-shared the story of Nottingham Lions, a football club which has grown from a casual kickabout in a park to a thriving club with nearly 80 members.
Nottingham Lions FC, which competes in the GFSN League, the world’s only national LGBTQ+ football league, is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all, regardless of gender, ability, or background.
Thanks to a £591k Football Foundation grant, the club has benefited from top-class facilities, helping to attract new players and grow its community year after year.
Beyond football, the club is making a real difference through charity work, supporting organisations like Notts LGBT+ Network, and hosting the annual Football v Homophobia tournament in Nottingham.
