Graphite Capital has published its 2025 ESG Report
Graphite Capital uses the FuturePlus platform to manage and report on its sustainability, with several of the firm's portfolio companies also on the platform, including Babble, Hanson Wade Group, Opus Talent and Ten10.
Report Highlights include:
- 100% of portfolio companies track ESG KPIs
- 94% of companies calculate gender pay gap
- 100% of portfolio companies calculate Scope 1 and 2 emissions
- 88% of portfolio companies deploy engagement surveys
"We are dedicated to ensuring the adoption and sustained support of internationally recognised ESG principles, with our own actions as well as those of our portfolio companies. We can evidence that this approach significantly contributes to maximising financial returns and delivers long-term value to our investors." - Andy Gray, Managing Partner, Graphite Capital and Markus Golser, Managing Partner and Head of Graphite's ESG Committee.
IMPACT CERTIFIED: Reuben Digital
This week, Ray Stephens, Founder & Managing Director of FuturePlus member, Reuben Digital, shared his thoughts on LinkedIn on why the business has chosen to use our platform to manage and report on its sustainability journey.
“We did briefly consider a B Corp pathway but quickly discovered that it would take us a while to reach the threshold accreditation score to allow us to be assessed as a B Corp company – and you don’t get any help whilst you strive to reach the appropriate score. FuturePlus, on the other hand, would give us our ‘right now’ score and an ‘ambition score’ that we can achieve over 3 years, all with practical advice on how to achieve each goal. We therefore decided that FuturePlus was a better fit because we’d be able to share and measure our journey from the start.” - Ray Stephens, Founder & Managing Director, Reuben Digital

Our Greenwashing Guide for Businesses
Recent greenwashing cases, from Coca-Cola’s revised recycling claims to repeat ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) censure for Virgin Atlantic and Renault, are a clear signal: businesses can no longer afford vague or misleading sustainability messaging.
Whether it’s exaggerated recyclability claims or green imagery that implies environmental neutrality, the risks of getting it wrong are growing – reputationally and legally.
That’s why we’ve created our Greenwashing Guide, a practical tool for businesses to:
Avoid common greenwashing pitfalls
Communicate sustainability efforts clearly and credibly
Understand evolving consumer protection and advertising rules
As regulators crack down and consumer scrutiny intensifies, now is the time to review your claims and ensure your impact messaging stands up to scrutiny.
